English Version: We are delighted to announce the creation of the Tunisia Chapter of Pharmacometrics Africa, the very first French-speaking chapter of this African community! More Information (FR) Pharmacometrics plays a key role in optimising medical treatments using approaches based on mathematical and statistical models. However, this discipline is still underdeveloped in Tunisia and in many other French-speaking countries. It is in response to this need that we have decided to create this chapter. PMX Africa Nigeria Chapter announces new monthly webinar series – register today!

March 2025 Edition Introduction to PBPK and Population Pharmacokinetics Date: Wednesday, March 26, 2025Time: 2 pm WAT Join us for an insightful session on Pharmacokinetic Modeling, where we’ll explore the fundamentals of PBPK and Population Pharmacokinetics. This webinar will cover key differences between these modelling approaches, their applications in drug development and clinical research, and how they enhance our understanding of drug behaviour in diverse populations. About this SeriesThe Pharmacometrics Africa (Nigeria Chapter) Webinar Series is designed to provide a structured learning experience on PBPK and Population Pharmacokinetics. The series will guide participants through fundamental concepts, model development, and real-world applications. Who Should Attend?Anyone interested in learning the fundamentals of pharmacometrics and its application in medication therapy: Academics, Researchers, Postgraduate students, and Undergraduate students. About the Speaker Babajide ShenkoyaBabajide holds a Bachelor of Pharmacy degree and a Master’s in Pharmaceutical Chemistry from Obafemi Awolowo University, where he focused on statistical and computational methods at the Translational Pharmacokinetic Research Group. He is currently a Doctoral candidate at the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy. His research interests include applying quantitative approaches, particularly pharmacometric techniques such as non-compartmental analysis (NCA), population pharmacokinetics (popPK), pharmacokinetics/pharmacodynamics (PK/PD), physiologically based pharmacokinetic (PBPK) modeling, and clinical trial simulations (CTS), to address critical questions in clinical practice and drug development.
