About the Speaker
Dr. Francine Johansson Azeredo is a Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Pharmaceutics at the University of Florida College of Pharmacy. Her work bridges translational pharmacokinetics/pharmacodynamics (PK/PD), infectious disease modeling, and precision medicine. Dr. Azeredo’s research focuses on model-informed drug development (MIDD), integrating preclinical and clinical data through advanced pharmacometrics approaches. Her projects address global health challenges such as malaria, hepatitis B, and antimicrobial resistance. She has served as PI or Co-I on several funded studies in both the U.S. and Brazil and is an editorial member of Frontiers in Pharmacology and the European Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences.
