We are pleased to share two recent engagements representing the PMX Africa Egypt Chapter in scientific and academic forums across Egypt.
Vaccine Innovation Forum
Dr. Nada Elhofy represented our chapter in a lecture on the role of “Model-Informed Drug Development (MIDD) in advancing vaccine innovation” (April 2026) as part of Africa CDC’s “Industrial Workshop in Vaccine Manufacturing” in collaboration with VACSERA .
The session addressed how quantitative modelling and simulation can streamline vaccine research and development, optimise dosing strategies, and support clinical decision-making, bringing a pharmacometrics perspective to one of the most critical areas of public health.
We extend our sincere gratitude to VACSERA, Africa CDC, and Future University in Egypt (FUE) for hosting this important event and for fostering collaboration around regional health solutions.
MESPET 2026 — Bibliotheca Alexandrina, Alexandria (May 3–4, 2026)
Dr. Aya Ismail represented our chapter at the 1st Annual Conference of the Middle East Society of Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics (MESPET), held at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, Alexandria, Egypt (May 3–4, 2026).
Dr. Ismail delivered a session titled “From Animals to Humans: Modelling as a Bridge in Drug Development,” addressing the role of quantitative modelling and simulation as a translational tool in drug development, bridging preclinical findings with clinical decision-making.
In addition, Dr. Ibrahim Komeil represented the chapter by presenting a poster on Virtual Bioequivalence, highlighting the application of modelling and simulation approaches to support bioequivalence assessment and facilitate more efficient drug development.
We extend our sincere gratitude to MESPET, ASPET, and Alamein International University for organizing a conference that brought together leading scientific voices from across the region.
