Who we are

Pharmacometrics Africa is a non-profit company registered in South Africa with the goal to develop quantitative clinical pharmacology among African scientists, and more generally among pharmacometricians in low and middle income countries (LMIC).

Pharmacometrics Africa establishes and runs open access quantitative clinical pharmacology educational programs in partnership with local research organisations and academic groups.

Our Vision

Expert quantitative clinical pharmacology scientists will be fully trained and working on locally generated data, attracting international researchers to collaborate with African scientists, to improve the understanding of dose-exposure-response relationships that improves how existing and new drugs are used in previously under-served African populations

Our Mission

Increase the number and quality of trained quantitative clinical pharmacology scientists
Strengthen centers of excellence to form local country networks of excellence, drawing in local, regional and international collaboration to increase visibility of African pharmacometrics using publications, road-shows and conference presentations
Host collaborative events with international experts, organized with a view to showcase African science and develop scientists
Incrementally increase the quality and level of sophistication of pharmacometric contributions to clinical science in Africa
