Varnika Singh is the Chief Operations Officer of Pharmacometrics Africa NPC, responsible for driving operational excellence, financial management, and strategic project delivery across the organisation’s portfolio.
She brings over nine years of experience in business operations, project management, and healthcare strategy, underpinned by an MSc in Biology from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, where her research focused on the molecular characterisation of herbicide-tolerant sugarcane genotypes, and an MBA from the Stellenbosch Business School, where she explored how digital transformation and skills development drive employability, workforce readiness, and inclusive economic growth across Africa.
Before joining Pharmacometrics Africa, Varnika played a key role in scaling a small enterprise into a large organisation, gaining extensive experience in financial management, operational systems, and business growth within the SME sector. She is also a member of the Institute of Directors in South Africa (IoDSA), where she continues to strengthen her expertise in governance, leadership, and ethical business practice.
In her role at Pharmacometrics Africa, Varnika will apply her proven expertise in governance, financial oversight, and stakeholder engagement to drive the organisation’s key projects, including regulatory training initiatives, mentorship programmes, and the development of tools that enhance organisational efficiency. Her blend of scientific training, business acumen, and governance experience will enable her to contribute meaningfully to advancing regulatory science and sustainable health systems across Africa.
