To maximise impact and share knowledge from the Citizens Jury on the ethical use of data from electronic medical records in Uganda, a British Pharmacological Society Engagement grant enabled production of this 3-minute animation.
Alongside advances such as electronic medical records, we must also develop ethical approaches for data sharing. In July 2022 we hosted the first medically focused citizens jury in Uganda to discuss this topic, and the film summarises proceedings.
Pharmacovigilance is the study of the safety of medicines. It is essential that communities are engaged and empowered in pharmacovigilance activities. This film on Medication Safety was developed as a presentation for the British Pharmacological Society conference 2021.
